I’M GOING ON TOUR
Starting September 2024 I’ll be traveling around the country on the First National Tour of &Juliet!
I’m in the ensemble as the feisty Lucy and covering the roles of Anne & Angelique. Catch me in a city near you for a whole year. I can’t wait to explore the country doing what I love in a show I love!
I MADE MY OFF-BROADWAY DEBUT!
This past summer I was honored to make my off-broadway debut as a swing in the revival of CATS: The Jellicle Ball at PAC NYC. This innovative production re-conceptualized the Cats we know and love into the fabulous, fiery world of Ballroom. Directed by Zhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch at the brand-new Perelman Performing Arts Center this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From learning to vogue to debuting all of the tracks I covered in less than a month, I’ve had an amazing summer I’ll never forget. I’ll forever be a Jellicle Cat!
I STARTED A BUSINESS!
Prior to being in a show this summer, I decided to jump off the deep end as a creator and start freelancing full-time. I specialize in customized personal branding photoshoots and natural/easy headshots with a sprinkle of videography, web design, and social media management. I love collaborating with multifaceted, multi-hyphenate artists to develop a curated photoshoot experience. Everything from hybrid lifestyle/headshot sessions to on-site content capturing I can make it happen. Being able to lean into the element of digital marketing that’s the most creatively fulfilling and exciting for me has been a dream! To see more examples of my work or learn about my current offerings check out my photography page!
Whether on stage or behind a camera, I strive to connect with audiences through my honesty, confidence, and unique style!
ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
As a performer, I love using all three elements of musical theater for maximum impactful storytelling. Spreading joy, inspiring change, or helping someone feel seen are transformative actions I prefer doing through a little song and dance.
I am also a passionate pioneer of body diversity and representation in the arts. Being confident, sexy, and 100% my authentic self on stage should always be celebrated. Plus size bodies deserve to be seen and shared, just the same as all bodies. When discussing the kind of work I want to be doing, I’ve always said I don’t want to be a woman telling a curvy story but a curvy woman telling a story. Luckily, I keep landing on projects and working with teams helping me do just that! Cheers to a lifetime of setting trends and pushing boundaries.
When not on stage… I work as a photographer, brand consultant, and social media manager. As a kid, I was always drawing, painting and creating art in any way I could. That love of design, combined with my background in storytelling and customer service, has cultivated the digital marketing maven I am today! Check out my photography page to see how I connect with audiences through every medium at my disposal.
Hobbies include spending way too much on artisanal beverages, reading the latest romance novel, thrifting, playing around with fun makeup looks, and taking way too many candid videos of my friends to show our future kids one day.
Training: Baldwin Wallace University Class of 2020! I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Theatre with a Minor in Marketing.
Recently seen on stage in… CATS: The Jellicle Ball (Understudy Demeter, Victoria, Electra, Booth Singer/Ens) Off-Broadway at the Perelman Performing Arts Center on the World Trade Center Campus in NYC. SIX the Musical (Jane Seymour) on the high seas with Norwegian Cruise Lines, and the world premiere of SuperYou the Musical (Ima Mazing) at Skylight Music Theater.
My love for performing came about because I despised sweating, even as a 3-year-old. I had two older siblings who played sports, and apparently, I was always complaining about being too hot that my parents knew they had to opt for an indoor activity. Immediately, I was signed up for dance class, and it was game over from there. I grew up singing, dancing, and acting all over Orlando, FL, before graduating high school from JJ Pearce HS in Dallas, Texas. I honed my craft in college in before moving to NYC two years ago and it’s been a wild ride ever since.

Bring It On
“Shelby Griswold (Bridget) has a wonderful sense of comic timing. Her mobile face and line interpretations light up the stage. “
- Broadway World (Roy Berko)
“Griswold is particularly effective in capturing the endearing humor of a nerdy, awkward girl with a heart of gold. “
- Clevescene (Christine Howey)
Cabaret
“Shelby Griswold showed Sally as bouncy, full of vibrant life and, at the same time, one suffering from frenetic despair. (…) Griswold made Sally someone easy to like, dislike and fear for all at the same time — in other words, an ordinary human, except for her ability to belt out “Don’t Tell Mama” and wail “Cabaret.”
- Cool Cleveland (Laura Kennelly)
Once
“…Through the guidance of the girl’s mother (the captivating Shelby Griswold)(…)All the performers display multiple talents, most playing more than one instrument throughout.”
- Clevescene (Roman Macharoni)
“Ensemble members playing her Czech friends and family, especially Shelby Griswold as mother Baruska, portray a passionate, loving people.”
- Beacon Journal (Kerry Clawson)
